What is the CPD Programme?

The CPD programme is a two hour interactive presentation with group activities and discussion. The course will introduce the different types of domestic abuse and what our role as professionals entails and the support we can give.

What Are the Main Objectives of the CPD Programme?

Discuss how easy it is to overlook the signs of domestic abuse due to similarities with other conditions.

Identify the physical signs and behaviours you can expect to see.

An in-depth look at the signs of emotional, sexual abuse and neglect.

Identify what you can do to help a child who discloses abuse to you and who you can contact to report it to.

After the course you should feel confident in your ability to recognise the signs and symptoms of abuse and be aware of the support the child needs.

The course is CPD accredited and will provide certificates to all attendees.
