In view of the increase of reported incidents of Domestic Abuse during the Covid-19 lockdowns. We wanted to find a way to connect with the child victims and ensure they are not alone. With this in mind we have written book 1 of a trilogy following the lives of Molly and Lucas and their experiences of living with Domestic Abuse.

Covid-19 was not only a medical pandemic, it increased the time children were unable to access a safe place or person. This in turn has had a detrimental affect on their mental health and general well-being. Schools and hobbies not only create an environment for learning new skills, but give children a space and the security to be themselves and forge relationships outside of the home. In engaging with these services the children develop peace of mind to discuss any fears or concerns they have knowing their voice will be heard.

The aim of our books is to help children identify their journey through Domestic Abuse, and provide them with the realization that they are not alone. The books will show them there is support available and to help them move forward in a positive way. Giving them a sense of a future free of abuse and the freedom to choose healthy relationships for themselves.

As a charity we are committed to ‘Breaking the cycle’ of domestic Abuse by creating awareness of the effects this has on children, education and direct support.
